Uni Lookbook #4- Cinema Attendee

This is what I wore to go and see The Book Thief the other day, which was excellent and sob-worthy. If you have no objections to sitting for three hours covered in your own salty sadness water amongst a theatreful of other equally moist viewers, definitely watch it. And I'm fully aware of how this is not an appropriate comment to make about a wonderful film dealing with all sorts of important and harrowing issues, but my parents totally have the same mugs as Liesel's with a  handpainted geometric pattern of squares on it. This pleased me an inordinate amount.

So, le outfit:
Lipstick- YSL
Necklace- charity shop
Sweatshirt- Christmas present ^_^
Jacket- Johnnie B (don't judge me but it's part of Boden)
Dress- car boot sale (it's way cooler underneath the sweatshirt I'll show you sometime)
Shoes- Adidas
Handbag- Thrift Shop London (online)

Hip and groovy

This is a charity-come-vintage shop in Norwich with some neat stuff in. I had a fun browse but nothing called to me.
This is the secondhand/antique market thing in an old church where those eye earrings were :)

Photos From Round And About

Howdy! Here are a few photos I've taken recently on my terrible phone camera. They're extremely poor quality and show a few places near uni and in the town.

Some cool stuff in a secondhand market in Norwich. Eye earrings with blinking eyelids!
The courtyard on campus. There are way more banners hanging up now, it looks totally studenty.
A tree. Obvi. Thought it looked like a good place to read :)
Bit of the river I walked by on my super cool nature trail :P
Bridge at the end of said nature trail.

In Bridget Jones style, this pretty much summarises my day. I am as unwashed, unprepared and unacademic as I was when I woke up, which is disappointing. I suppose I did only wake up at about 12:30pm and I have the excuse of illness. But I had a whole day with nothing on in which to turn my life around and become the super student of my dreams, complete with essays, a tidy bedroom, freshly laundered clothes and a perfect manicure, so I can't help but feel a bit frustrated with my lack of progress in any of the above areas. I've also realised I shall never become one of those perfectly artistic and quirky Rookie/Pinterest/Tumblr bloggers, who keep their vintage button collection in a cute glass jar on the bookshelf beside their colour-organised nail polishes and Polaroid pictures of their equally stylish friends being delightful/meaningfully sad. This has come at an emotional cost for me.

However, mustn't grumble; am v. lucky to have Valentine's Day plans with fab boyf tomorrow. And I did some washing up and wrote a to-do list, which totally count as achievements, right? Right. I wish I could get a degree in watching YouTube, glitter-glue crafts and mentally planning outfits. In 11 days time there is this '1940s Swing vs. 1950s Grease' thing at the LCR which was obviously designed for my own personal enjoyment, and it's followed the next week by 'A Night at Hogwarts'!! These are the things that keep me from despair.

Had planned on long, luxurious shower involving leg shaving and at least half a playlist, followed by intense moisturising sesh and shampoo-advert-style hairdrying. But it's apparently gone midnight now and I've got the WORST SEMINAR EVER to get up for tomorrow, so that won't happen. Oh shit, I also just remembered I've yet to find my keys... I lost them yesterday and panicked, but as I didn't go out today I totes forgot. Fuck fuck fuck. This cannot jeapordise tremendous romantic weekend plans... Should probably find them now... Wish me luck :/
